block heath

Feel the energy of nature at Blockheide.

The landscape of the nature park is characterized by massive granite boulders, birch groves, red pines, heather, and a pond.

Let's go!

The Blockheide is home to unique natural landmarks shaped by nature, such as the Christophorus Stone, the Devil’s Bed, the Devil’s Loaf, and the Goblin and Cricket Stones. The most fascinating of these are the famous rocking stones, one of which is located right next to the observation tower.

Exhibition spaces have been set up in the beautifully renovated water reservoir in Blockheide, which was built in 1908 under Emperor Franz Josef I and serves as the foundation for the observation tower.

The outer ring of the building features dioramas depicting "The Birth of the Wackelsteine," and the interior regularly hosts special exhibitions.
