Dobrá Voda Pilgrimage Site
Pilgrimage sites exude a very special energy.
Visit the pilgrimage site of Dobrá Voda, also known as the “Lourdes of South Bohemia,” and take this opportunity to explore the legendary Church of Our Lady of Consolation in Brno.
Let's go!
The "Lourdes of South Bohemia" is one of five parishes in the Diocese of České Budějovice in the Czech Republic (Nové Hrady, Strobnitz, Reichenau, Brünnl, and Heilbrunn) that were taken over by the Missionary Community of the Family of Mary on August 15, 2005. Maria Trost in Brünnl is situated on the northern slope of the Gratzen Mountains at an elevation of 695 meters in the southernmost part of Bohemia and is nestled in a gentle hilly landscape amidst forests, meadows, river valleys, and marshlands. The Gratzener Mountains form the natural border with Austria. The history of this place is linked to the discovery of the healing spring on the slope of Kuhberg at the end of the 17th century.
