Gmünd, December 12, 2024: The Sole Felsen Welt second place in the vote for Austria’s most popular thermal spa. out of over 40 participating spas in Austria.

At Sole Felsen Welt Gmünd, the excitement couldn’t be greater. After an exciting and eventful year, Austria’s most popular thermal spa in 2023 has made it into the top two finalists for 2024! Out of the 40 Austrian thermal spas up for consideration, the Sole Felsen Welt Gmünd took second place, as announced at the official Thermencheck Award 2024 ceremony on December 11 at Taggenbrunn Castle near Sankt Veit an der Glan in Carinthia.

As it does every year, Austria’s largest wellness portal, Thermencheck, invited the public to vote for the country’s most popular thermal spas. As an independent organization, it presents the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards to the spas selected by visitors, as well as the “Rising Star of the Year” award.

During the 12-month voting period, an impressive 342,430 people cast their votes, resulting in remarkable participation! The Thermencheck.com Award thus demonstrates its significant importance to the entire Austrian wellness industry.

Second place thanks to the visitors!

After a year full of changes and a major multimillion-dollar renovation project, in which Sole Felsen Welt set Sole Felsen Welt standards for relaxation and comfort, this year’s poll received very little publicity. This makes the result all the more impressive: with 49,511 votes, guests voted Sole Felsen Welt second place, thereby recognizing the innovations and the dedication of the entire team.

The renovations were well worth it: the renovated Relax Lagoon shines in new splendor, featuring a modern stainless-steel pool, massage jets, a waterfall shower, and an expanded water area that invites you to relax and unwind.

The new wooden deck overlooking the picturesque Asang Pond also provides the perfect setting for relaxing in the sun. The Sole Felsen Hotel**** is also at its best—with a stylishly designed façade and comfortable balcony rooms that create a relaxing atmosphere, especially on the forest side.

Winning the Silver Award demonstrates once again that Sole Felsen Welt is valued Sole Felsen Welt only for its offerings but also for its close relationship with guests.

Spanning nearly 1,000 square meters of water, this Pool Paradise a saltwater rock pool, a current channel, a wooden terrace, a waterfall shower, whirlpool loungers, a spring stone, massage jets, relaxation lagoons, and many other bubbling delights. Most of the water in pool Sole Felsen pool enriched with pool healing pool . This relieves joint pain, improves skin texture, stabilizes circulation, and lowers blood pressure. Sauna lovers will find everything they could wish for here—the Sole Felsen Sauna features a spacious sauna area and welcomes you with soothing scents, warmth, and a sense of well-being. For a change of pace, our sauna masters perform guided steam sessions every half hour. In addition to the rock hammam, sauna bar, steam grotto, infrared cabin, and indoor agate, crystal, and Swiss stone pine saunas, the three outdoor saunas are also available to you. Nestled in the forest, these offer a truly unique sauna experience. Also located outdoors is the sauna garden, which, in nice weather, invites you to sunbathe on its lawns. These are situated right next to the natural pond, where you can cool off and refresh yourself after your sauna session.

Sole Felsen Hotel****

At the Sole Felsen Hotel****, you’ll sleep exceptionally well—thanks to the natural rooms infused with the power of the Waldviertel’s native pine. The stone pine, known as “Fehra” in the Waldviertel, has proven itself over the decades to be an excellent material for bedroom furniture. The wood exudes a pleasant, resinous scent that purifies and soothes. Combined with Swiss stone pine, which comes from the same family of trees, it promotes deep, restful sleep. For even more comfort, balcony rooms have been available since October 2024, offering, among other things, a breathtaking view of the adjacent Asangteich pond.
