Sole Felsen Welt €5,000 to Cancer Research
Gmünd, February 2, 2024. The Sole Felsen Welt Gmünd held a ceremony to present a check for €5,000 to St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research.
The year 2023 was a huge success for Austria’s most popular thermal spa in Gmünd. Last year, the Sole Felsen Welt over 400,000 visitors in total, setting a new internal annual record. To show their appreciation to the many visitors, the spa decided to give something back and help one another during the cold season.
In Sole Felsen Welt the upcoming Christmas holidays and New Year’s, Sole Felsen Welt a “Sole Fundraiser.” For every admission to Sole Felsen Pool Sauna between December 1 and December 31, 2023, 10 cents was set aside for charitable causes. The campaign encouraged visitors to do a good deed while relaxing: “Come on by, relax with us, and automatically do a good deed with your visit.” “In times like these, it’s especially important to us to remind people of what really matters: health.” The rising costs in recent months are taking a toll on each and every one of us, but it’s essential not to forget that health is our greatest and most important asset. Unfortunately, not everyone is fortunate enough to be healthy and fit. That’s why it’s a great pleasure for us to donate to St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research in Vienna to support research and the fight against cancer in children,” said Managing Director Bernhard Strohmeier.
In December, a total of 33,722 spa and sauna enthusiasts visited Sole Felsen Welt, resulting in a total donation of a whopping €3,372.20. However, Managing Director Bernhard Strohmeier went one step further and rounded the donation amount up to €5,000. “Especially during the Advent season and as the year comes to a close, it is particularly important to us—even more so than usual—to support others and look out for their well-being,” said Strohmeier.
Andrea Prantl, a representative of St. Anna Children’s Hospital, was delighted at the donation presentation in Gmünd and is overjoyed by the generous donation. “We are very pleased that Sole Felsen Welt was able to achieve such Sole Felsen Welt great result with its fundraising campaign in December. Thank you very much for this tremendous support and for helping with research! With every euro donated to St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research, we are one step closer to providing lasting help to those who cannot yet be cured with the available treatment options.”
