Great atmosphere at the 36th Ball of the Lower Austrian Chimney Sweeps

Gmünd, January 14, 2023. Last Friday, the 36th Ball of the Lower Austrian Chimney Sweeps took place at the Sole Felsen Hotel****. It was a successful event with many highlights.

Regional Guild Master Markus Köck welcomed numerous guests and dignitaries to the 36th Ball of the Lower Austrian Chimney Sweeps, which was held for the fifth time at the Sole Felsen Hotel**** in Gmünd. Among the attendees were Regional Councilor Gottfried Waldhäusl, State Parliament Representative Margit Göll, and Gmünd Mayor Helga Rosenmayer.

A charity wine bar, a fantastic dance performance at midnight, and a festive atmosphere in the hotel bar were among the ball’s highlights, as was the midnight raffle, which offered numerous valuable prizes.

“Once again, Lower Austria’s chimney sweeps have sent a strong message of solidarity with this ball,” emphasized State Assembly Member Margit Göll in her opening remarks. The dance and party band “The Band” kept the dance floor packed throughout the evening. “Year after year, the Chimney Sweep Ball is a special highlight on the annual calendar,” said Guild Master and host Markus Köck, who thanked the ball organizing team at the Guild and the WTG Lower Austria, as well as the team at the Sole Felsen Hotel, led by Managing Director Bernhard Strohmeier, for their dedication.
