20 Years of " Sole Felsen Welt": Two decades filled with brine, saunas, and wonderful memories.

Gmünd, September 7, 2026. For 20 years, the “ Sole Felsen Welt ” in Gmünd has been synonymous with relaxation, enjoyment, and quality time together. What began with the groundbreaking ceremony in September 2005, organized by the firm Leyrer + Graf, has evolved in recent years into one of the most popular destinations for adventure and relaxation in the Waldviertel region.

On December 19, 2006, the Sole Felsen pool was officially opened. Four years later, the opening of the Sole Felsen Hotel**** marked another important milestone in the hotel’s history. But that wasn’t all: the “ winter garden ” followed, shortly after which the sauna area was expanded with the “ Salt Sauna ,” and most recently, a million-euro investment was made to renovate the hotel’s facade and add a new outdoor pool, complete with a summer cocktail bar! Plenty of reasons, then, to celebrate in style:

Anniversary Night with Music, Special Sauna Infusions, and a Culinary Experience

The anniversary year 2026 is now entirely dedicated to these special milestones. Celebrations already took place on August 22 as part of the “Long Night of the Thermal Baths,” during which a colorful program of events was on the agenda at the pool- & Sauna Paradise until 1:00 a.m. The Sole Felsen pool provided plenty of variety with various coffee and ice cream tastings, introductory swimming lessons, and “ water aerobics .” Of course, musical entertainment from various bands and DJs was also a must. The “ Sauna Paradise ” delighted guests not only with creative themed infusions like “Rock the Sauna” or the “Techno Infusion,” but also with introductory massages, a fire show, and culinary delights.

The anniversary celebration wasn’t the only highlight in store for wellness enthusiasts this year. Throughout the entire resort, everything revolves around the number 20 all year long: With promotions like the “ stamp card,” where 20 visits turn into an anniversary gift, and a 20 percent discount on the 20th of every month—including a creative anniversary steam session— Sole Felsen Welt is creating memorable experiences. The milestone anniversary is also taking center stage on social media: Under the motto “20 Years – 20 Highlights,” a new, special offer has been available every week since early August for guests of pool and Sauna Paradise . Hotel guests, too, will enjoy tailored hotel packages centered around the number 20 all year long.
