Třeboň - Wittingau
Take a stroll through this small but beautiful town.
Třeboň is aptly represented by three symbols: the five-petaled rose, carp, and spas.
Let's go!
The five-petaled rose symbolizes the city’s ancient history, particularly its period of greatest prosperity under the rule of the Rosenberg family.
The Wittingau carp, which is farmed in the Třeboň area, is one of the best. You have to try it. The area around Třeboň comprises more than 500 ponds, making it the largest producer of freshwater fish in Europe.
The tradition of spa therapy dates back to 1883, when local natural resources—particularly peat—began to be used in therapeutic treatments. Today’s modern spa complex is designed not only to treat musculoskeletal disorders but also to provide relaxing getaways.
They also brew some excellent beer here. See for yourself and take a stroll through town to the brewery. You’ll be greeted from afar by the aromas of the brewing process. After a tasting, you’ll be delighted.
